Here is a little bit about Saisha Teagues:

What is your favorite part of singing lessons with Miss Cat?

     "Working on theory and doing warm-ups."

How old are you and how long have you been taking singing lessons?

     "I am 12, and I have been taking singing lessons for about 2 or 3 years, but only about 3 or 4 months at New Songs,."

What is your favorite type of music to sing?

     "Pop music and the Disney songs."

What is one fun and important thing that you have learned about singing music?

     "Is that you have to know what the notes are in order to sing the right song.  You have to sing right by opening your mouth, enunciating, etc."

Do you have any other "hidden talents?"

     "Dancing and acting."

Saisha's teacher, Miss Cat says: "Saisha loves to learn.  She understands theory very quickly, as if she had known it already.  She has great focus, and soaks in every piece of advice like a sponge.  Right now, she is working on 'Back to December' by Taylor Swift, and she is doing a great job.  And she has picked up sight singing in the blink of an eye.  (She also takes guitar with Mr. Sam!)

I believe that Saisha has the potential to be a successful musician and singer.  Keep up the great work, girl! :)

What do you enjoy most about music lessons?

     Getting to play new songs.
What is your favorite song to play (or sing)?
     Favorite song to play is the Funeral March by Chopin 

How old are you and How long have you been taking music lessons?
     I am 11 years old and have been taking piano for 2 years and 1 month
Do you have any other interesting "hidden talents"?
     I take ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, tap, love drawing, love to dance and eat.

Her teacher, Mr Michael, say "Angel is a hard worker, which counts for a lot as a musician.  She also has great family support for her music making.  She has played everything from Clementi to Elton John.  I enjoy they way I always feel she is doing her best and ready to take on new challenges.  And she does love to eat :)"

Will Truong

Learn a little more about Will:
"I enjoy learning new things in my music lessons.  My favorite songs to play are "Living' on a Prayer, "I Get Around" and "Fur Elise".   I am 10 years old and have been taking music lessons for about two years.  Do I have any other hidden talents?  No, I don't have any other talents that I know of."
His teacher, Mr. Sam, says "Will is one of the yoiungest and most talented students I have ever taught.  He just gets it.  He understands the staff and how it applies to the guitar fretboard (which is no easy task!).  He comes every week prepared to blow my mind and despite every challenge I throw at him, he never backs down.  Instead he absorbs it and just adds it to his list of skills.  I strongly believe that with Will learning at this pace, he can be an elite guitarist!"
